I first met Federico Zig in January 2004 at a squat party in Archway, North London. Federico - or Fedé - as he's known to his friends - is from Argentina. When I first met him he'd been living in London illegally for four years in squats and on the streets.

This was better than living in the chaos and insanity produced by the social and economic collapse of his own country, Argentina.

The collapse happened in 2000 and was caused by bad government, The World Bank, & the International Monetary Fund. I found it very interesting talking with him on this subject, but Fedé's overriding passion is writing and performing music. This is the medium for his unique thoughts and feelings. - Jonathan Gems
